Peewee Panthers Roll
The Peewee LL Panthers were dominating over the holiday weekend, winning games in Zorra and at home Sunday. The team was led by Emily in net who was unbeatable in both games. She used her superb positional play to thwart Zorra and West Lorne each time they had a scoring chance. Emily is currently leading the league with a goals against average of 0.00 and a save percentage of 100%.
The defence was led by Audry, Shelby, Amy and Julia who moved the puck
quickly through the neutral zone allowing the forwards create many
scoring chances. Audrey picked up her first goal of the year fighting
off two defenders who were draped all over her and slamming the puck
past the Zorra goal tender. Shelby, Madison, Maddy and Goose also
scored in the Zorra game. Zoe, Raylee, Karen, Heather, Taylor added
assists in the Zorra tilt.In the Thanksgiving Day Classic vs
West Lorne the Panthers stormed out to a quick lead when power forward
Karen fought her way to the front of the net and finished a great pass
from Raylee. Next up Zoe picked up her first goal of the on a nice feed
from Maddy. As the game progressed the Panther wore down the Comets
with a tenacious forecheck creating scoring chances all through second
and third period. Raylee picked up her first goal of the year
converting a pass from Goose. Shelby, Maddy, Madison and Goose also
picked up markers for the home squad. Heather, Amy, Julia, Karen,
Raylee, Audrey, Taylor also picked up assists.7 ft tall coach
Darrell Crossett picked up his fourth win in a row and has yet to lose
as a Panthers Head Coach. Many people are attributing this to great
hockey minds that work diligently behind the scenes as his assistant
coaches.Next up for the Panthers is a home tilt vs BAD girls on
Saturday Oct. 13 at 3:30. Good tickets are still available at the door.
