Pee Wee LL ('00-'01), 2012-2013 (St. Thomas Panthers)

The St. Thomas Panther PW LL team keeps rolling along in this unbelievable season.  With a record of 34 & 4 the team is unparalleled in its success winning and developing players for their future in this great sport.  The Panthers wrapped up the league title last week with a convincing 3-0 with over the East Lambton Eagles in Watford.  In the previous game the girls had a showdown with 2nd place Kent County at the Old War Memorial Arena.  They dominated the Phillies to virtually assure themselves of the league title.

St. Thomas Panthers PW LL team travelled to Barrie this past weekend to compete in the Sharkfest Tourney.  This year to tourney featured over 150 teams from all over Ontario and the US.   The Panthers were placed in a 12 team division with two pools of 6.  Coach Darrell Crossett had been stressing a team game the past several weeks in practice as it would take them 6 games to achieve their goal of bringing home the banner.  Over the years St. Thomas teams have done very well in this tournament. 

The Peewee Panthers LL team came out on top in an afternoon tilt with the Kent County Fillies taking their record to a perfect 8-0 on the year.  This rag tag group of rookies and veterans have gelled into a squad that no one wants to play.  Led by Coach Crossett, an early favorite for coach of the year, the Panthers exude a certain confidence each time they walk out on the ice.  Right from the drop of the puck the girls took the play to Kent County showed them why they are undefeated.

The Peewee LL Panthers continued their winning ways by picking up a pair of victories over the weekend.  Coach Crosset stressed defence all week in practice and it paid off with everyone contributing in the two wins.

The Peewee LL Panthers were dominating over the holiday weekend, winning games in Zorra and at home Sunday.  The team was led by Emily in net who was unbeatable in both games.  She used her superb positional play to thwart Zorra and West Lorne each time they had a scoring chance.  Emily is currently leading the league with a goals against average of 0.00 and a save percentage of 100%. The defence was led by Audry, Shelby, Amy and Julia who moved the puck quickly through the neutral zone allowing the forwards create many scoring chances.  Audrey picked up her first goal of the year fighting ...
