Pee Wee BB ('99-'00), 2011-2012 (St. Thomas Panthers)

The Peewee BB's came out flying in the round robin portion of the tournament going undefeated to clinch 1st place overall out of 6 teams in their pool. This also avoided a Saturday night game allowing the families to hang out at the hotel and go shopping in the GTA. The Panthers beat Etobicoke 2-1, Leaside BB 2-1 and Leaside B 3-0 with Sara Verboom earning her 9th shutout of the season. The girls had a balanced attack with 7 different girls getting single markers. Goal scoreres included Rachel Sheridan, Haley Agius, Kaitlyn Guernsey, Meredith Fisher, Ali Johnson, Jaylin Wismer and Tori ...

Last week started out a little disappointing for the St. Thomas Panthers peewee BB girls when they lost their league playoff series in overtime to London. Despite winning the third game 2-0, the series was tied at three points each. Therefore an overtime was played to decide the winner. London scored 21 seconds in to move on. Sara Verboom and Hunter Smith shared the regulation shutout.

Congratulations to the PW BBs who are off to the OWHA Provincial Championships in April.  The girls put together 3 solid games, outscoring London 9-0 to convincingly take the series.  It was a true team effort with every girl elevating their level of play.  The girls are realizing the potential that they showed at the start of the season and should be proud of themselves..........the Coaching Staff are!

After the success of our last shooting challenge and the great improvements we saw on the ice, we have decided to have the Thousand Puck Shooting Challenge Round Two before the snow came and the girls started destroying our basements! The challenge this time around is for the team to take / save 15,000 shots between now and Oct 30. If the team achieves this goal, the top three shooters each get to pick one drill of their choice for the Nov 2 practice. In addition, the team gets to decide, as a group, what they would like to do for the rest of the practice. As before, shots will be logged ...
