PRIVIT MEDICAL IS HERE! Time to Register
Submitted By Dave Humphreys on Thursday, October 19, 2017
The St. Thomas Panthers are pleased to announce that we have partnered with PRIVIT. PRIVIT is helping the Panthers become 100% compliant with our organization’s policies and procedures for managing and dealing with protected health information. PRIVIT solutions are built on proprietary patented technology for privacy and security, assuring the right people have access to the proper athlete information.  This was made possible by the generosity of Dominos Pizza.

The main goal of using this technology is to help ensure that the necessary information is readily available should a player or team staff member be injured.  In place of paper files, team trainers, coaches and by extension, medical professionals will have the information they need via a smartphone.  Parents can also be contacted via phone or text by the touch of a button.

Players and parents will also be asked to read (or be read), player/parent code of conducts as well as social media, cell phone use and bullying code of conducts.  These will require an electronic signature stating that parents and players understand acceptable conduct.  Please take the time to discuss these important issues with your daughter.

We are asking that parents register and input their daughter's medical information ASAP (by October 28th).  You will need roughly 30 minutes to input the necessary medical information.  There are detailed registration instructions listed in the PRIVIT Medical tab on our home page.  You will only need to do this once, and simply add any pertinent updates each year. Those who have completed this for secondary school, may simply transfer the information.

Please note there is a helpline available, should you have any issues.  It is listed at the top of the instruction page.

There will be a "Train the trainers" night scheduled in the next week to ensure that all team trainers are comfortable with this program.

Thank you for your time and patience as we make changes to better serve our players and staff.
