The U15B Panthers traveled north to compete in Hocktoberfest from October 18th to 20th, bringing their competitive spirit to the ice. The team fought hard throughout the tournament, finishing the round robin in third place with a record of 1-1-1.
In the cross-pool playoffs, they faced a familiar opponent, the Chatham-Kent Crush. It was a closely contested game, with the Panthers holding a 2-1 lead going into the third period. However, with just four minutes remaining, the Crush managed to tie the game at 2-2. Despite numerous nail-biting moments during the 3-on-3 overtime, neither team could secure the win. The match ultimately went to a shootout, where the Crush edged out a victory after three shooters. Although the Panthers didn’t advance further in the playoffs, they showed grit and determination, setting the stage for an exciting season rivalry. Until next time, Crush!
