2026/27 Permission to Tryout Request

This form must be used when a player wishes to attend a tryout hosted by another OWHA association or OWHA independent team. A player must receive a Permission to Tryout or a release from her last registered OWHA association or OWHA independent team in order to be eligible. NO player may participate in any OWHA sanctioned activity with a team other than where she was last registered, unless she has been released to OWHA Releases or have a properly executed Permission to Tryout form. One form per association the player is trying out for.

OWHA POLICY REGARDING RELEASES AND PERMISSION TO TRYOUT(PTT):

Permission to Tryout forms are valid as of 12:01am on April 14, 2026 until May 31, 2026 and from August 14, 2026 until a date announced by OWHA.
The OWHA policy concerning tampering and player movement pertains to competitive and house league players. A player wishing to try out for a team in an OWHA association other than the association in which she is registered must obtain either a Player Release Form or a Permission to Tryout Form.
Player movement by-laws of the OWHA state that “Permission to Tryout” forms must be filled out and signed by a designated executive member of the player’s current association/team and presented to the association/team for which the player wishes to try out before she is allowed on the ice.
Player Release Forms and PTTs are not required for movement to or from a team not affiliated with the OWHA.

STPGHA POLICY REGARDING RELEASES AND PERMISSION TO TRYOUT(PTT):

PTTs will not be issued prior to April 5, 2026.
Requests are subject to a 48 hour turnaround time, please plan accordingly.
PTT requests must be submitted through the online form via the St. Thomas Panthers Website. All fields must be completed. PTT will not be issued if there is missing or incomplete information. NO telephone calls or emails for PTT request will be accepted.
Requests for PTT forms will not be kept confidential, information on PTT requests will be shared with all Coaches.
