Saturday Skill Contest
Please share this below announcement with the players.
Inspired by Kendall Coyne Schofield at last year's NHL All Star's Skills Contest (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58qOiRANbxo), tomorrow night's practice will be a skills contest.
Each of the girls will be challenged in 7 different events:
1) Forward Skating Speed
2) Backward Skating Speed
3) Speed of Shot
4) Pass Accuracy
5) Puck Control
6) Goals Scored Against Goalie
7) Shooting Accuracy
Unlike the NHL event, there will be no prizes, YET. Hoping that Covid doesn't end our season early, we will then be running these drills again at the end of the season.
The player who records the greatest overall improvement, will receive a prize.
The intention of this event is not for the girls to compete against each other, but instead to establish a baseline so that the girls can work towards improvement by the end of the year.
