Bantam B's take Woodstock Gold!
The girls went undefeated in the 4 game round robin- 3 wins and 1 tie - with 10 goals for and only 4 against, putting us in first place. Our goalie Rianne Neill posted 2 shut outs in the round robin. The gold medal game on Sunday was a nail-biter! The Panthers scored half way through the first to take a 1-0 lead, but the Bisons managed to match it only a minute later. The game went on like that for all 3 periods- we would score and the Bisons would come right back. That left us tied 3-3 at the end of regulation, leading to a 5 minute 3-on-3 sudden-death overtime. Neither team scored, so it came down to a 3 player shoot-out. The Panthers were able to score twice and Rianne kept the Buffalo Bisons scoreless, earning us the gold!
