Introducing The New Panther Cubs Program
We would like to introduce the new Panther Cubs Program (formerly Fundamentals) starting October 1, 2016.

Our introductory Panther Cub program is slated to start this Saturday at 9:00 am.  While the on-ice goals of this program will remain the same, it is our hope that this year's additions will facilitate more of a true team experience for our youngest players, and allow them to begin forging friendships that we hope will last through their years as a Panther.

We are also very excited to introduce our first Panther Cub Coach, Robyn Millson. As you will see from her bio below, Robyn returns to the Panthers with a rich hockey background filled with playing, refereeing and instructing. The Panthers Organization is pleased to have such a great female role model to shape and instruct our future.

Please note that we welcome any players registered in novice or atom who would like more work on the fundamentals to join the on-ice sessions at a cost of $100.00 for 20 sessions. You can register for these sessions by using the following registration link:

Robyn's Bio

My name is Robyn Millson, and nearly fifteen years ago I put on a St.Thomas Panthers jersey for the first time, and learned to play hockey at Memorial arena. The memories and experiences I gained with the Panthers organization early in my on-ice development provided me with a passion for the game of hockey that has stayed with me throughout my life. I am privileged to say that I have been offered the position as "coach" and primary instructor for the St.Thomas Panthers Cubs (Fundamentals) program. It is an experience that I am looking forward to sharing with athletes, parents, and coaches alike.

My involvement with the sport of hockey is very diverse. As a hockey player, I have represented various OWHA teams such as Norfolk, London and Woodstock- all at the competitive level. I have also spent a total of three years officiating and refereeing for OWHA and OMHA organizations. In addition, I have worked as a skating and hockey skills instructor for the following professional organizations:

1.     The Shooters Edge (Norfolk County, ONT) – females ages 6-20

2.     The University Skating School (London, ONT) – children ages 4-10

3.     Hockey Canada Skills Academy (Holy Trinity Catholic High School in Simcoe, ONT) – students ages 13-18

4.     Simcoe Minor Hockey Association- males ages 4-8

5.     Norfolk HERicane’s Girls Hockey Association – females ages 6-20

As a student, I am currently enrolled in my final year of undergraduate Kinesiology studies at Western University in London. I spend my summers working for the Canadian Coast Guard, where I am in charge of running a search and rescue base. My crew and I are in charge of responding to medical and marine emergencies on the Great Lakes, in addition to promoting boating safety. The summers at work provide me with the adventure I miss during the school year, however, there is no better feeling than stepping on the ice when the winter months approach.

The sport of hockey is one that I enjoy playing and studying, in depth. I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge regarding skating, shooting, passing and team play with the St. Thomas Panthers; girls who will grow to be the leaders of female hockey and the future of our sport.
