Atom LL ('01-'02) - Panthers Turn on Offensive Switch for win

The St. Thomas Panther Atom Girls LL Team spotted the Kent County Fillies an early one-goal lead on Sunday before the Panthers turned up the heat.

Starting the second period, the Panthers came out flying and the Fillies could not keep up the pace. The period ended with the Panthers up 4-1.The Fillies added a goal in the third before the Panthers responded with two more of their own, finishing the game with a 6-2 win.The Panthers were led by Alexa Congdon and Mackenzie Costa with three points each while Zoe Meth, Shelby Vanderkooy and Amy Conrad chipped in two points.Renee Lammiman added a goal with Audrey Sheridan, Hannah McIntyre, Aviva Fournie and Kaila Novak picking up assists.The strong play from defencemen Julia Conrad, Kayla Lentz, forward Vanessa Johnston and Goalie Rianne Neill shut down the high flying Fillies attack.The Panthers enter the Christmas break a point out of first in their eight team division. The Panthers return to action Jan. 14 when they travel to Embro to play the Zorra Fuzion.
