Atom B ('01-'02) - Atom B - Panthers on The Prowl Champions
St Thomas Atom B team competed in the Panthers on the Prowl local tournament this past weekend. The team competed in the B/BB division and came up against all BB teams as they made their way into the final.
The Panthers opened the tournament with two games on Friday and came away with a 2-0 win over the Mississauga Chiefs and a 1-0 over B.A.D. Girls. Gracie Clinton and Michaela Babcock picked up the goals in the opening game while Kailey Dennis scored the winning goal against the B.A.D. girls. On Saturday the team posted a 3-1 win over Niagara Falls Rapids with Gracie Clinton, Tori Moir and Christine Baxter scoring for St Thomas. This set up a rematch against Mississauga on Sunday. The Panthers played well against a determined Mississauga team and took home the gold with another 2-0 win. Gracie Clinton and Maddie Crossett were the goal scorers in the final. Braelyn Dennis picked up all four wins in goal for St Thomas and as usual made key saves for her team at critical times in the game.
